Open a new Photoshop document. Width: 300 Height: 300
It doesn't matter what colour background you have.

STEP 2
=================
Create a new layer, and on that layer:
Select the eliptical marquee tool (M)

While keeping the Shift Key pressed, drag the mouse and draw a circle

Select the paint bucket Tool (G)

and click inside the circle you have just drawn. It doesn't matter what colour you fill it with.

Press CTRL + D to get rid of the marquee
STEP 3

From the top menu

Select
Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options
A window like this should appear:

Now the part where we will tweak the layer blending settings to tranform that flat coloured cirlce we have drawn into a sphere.

SELECT DROP SHADOW OPTION
Blend Mode Colour = Black

SELECT INNER SHADOW OPTION
Blend Mode Colour = Black

SELECT INNER GLOW OPTION
Blend Mode Colour = Black

SELECT BEVEL AND EMBOSS OPTION
Highlight Mode Colour = Black
Shadow Mode Colour = Black

SELECT SATIN OPTION
Blend Mode Colour = FFC600

This is it for the sphere. Confirm all by pressing the OK button
At this point you should have a sphere looking like this

STEP 4

This step will explain how to draw the reversed C shaped object on top of the sphere
Now, on your keyboard press CTRL and click on the layer where you have drawn the circle

You should now have on your stage a marquee around your sphere

Select the eleptical marquee tool(M) again, press ALT on your keyboard and draw a cirlce inside the circular marquee you already have. Make sure the two circles intersect at one point like this:

By doing this basically you have subtracted a circular area from the starting marquee circle. And you should have a marquee shped like this:

Now create a new layer on top of the Sphere layer

Slect the Paint Bucket Tool (G) and fill the C shaped marquee (foreground colour = #47515B)

And finally press CTRL + D to get rid of the marquee

STEP 5

In this step will give some metallic texture to the C shaped object
From the top menu

Select
Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options
A window like this should appear:

SELECT DROP SHADOW OPTION

SELECT INNER SHADOW OPTION
Blend Mode Colour = Black
Other settings as in screenshot

SELECT INNER GLOW OPTION
Blend Mode Colour = Black

SELECT BEVEL AND EMBOSS OPTION

Note that we must set a pattern to the contour settings, so click on the Gloss Contour pattern and set it like this:

This is it the C shaped object. Confirm all by pressing the OK button
At this point you should have a sphere looking like this

STEP 6

The text.
For this logo I have used the font named Space Age, size 18px, but you are free to use any font you like.
So type anything you like.
Then on a separate layer, using the same font just type some full stops with some spaces in between.
What you should get is this:

STEP 7
=================
Final step. We will draw a light reflex to give a more glossy look.
Create a new layer

Select the eliptical Marquee Tool (M) and draw an elipse

Select the gradient fill tool

Now on the top of the window u should see these tools:

Press where the red arrow is pointing
A window should open like this :

Click on each little arrow that the blu arrows are pointing to and set its colour to white.
Then
Click on the little arrow the red arrow is pointing to and set opacity to 0
With the gradient tool (click and drag vertically) u can draw the glass reflex in this manner

Now set the layer opacity level to 57%

Now create another new layer and draw another elipse with the marquee tool, but this time make it smaller

And repeat all the steps I have just explained and draw another gradient
Finally you will have:
